Good bye Mr. Ganguly, thats the way we treat our heroes

Good Bye Mr. Sourav Ganguly, "Team India" has no place for you. We are the country which celebrate the tradition and this is the tradition of celebrating our heroes. Why you are asking for special treatment? Indian team is not worthy enough. You found no place in team huddle in Kotla then why you are thinking to make a come back. I always admired your arrogance just say fuck off Team India. These guys who were no able to snatch a place in the team got the place because of you, as you believed in your vision of Team India and look at them what they did to you, These guys who didnt bother to visit you in you hotel room when you were axed. Why did you expect any thing from these mean fellows.
Dravid oops sorry "The Great Wall of India"
People say that he had become The wall much in 1999 but why they forget to see that this wall had scored 187 runs in 10 Test innings against quality bowling attack of Australia and South Africa in winters of 1999-2000. Yet Ganguly gave his full support. Ganguly could have done anything at that time. He could have not selected Dravid in team 11, but he did because he knew that Dravid is one of the greatest batsman ever produced by India. The same condition revisited team India with role reversed and the result also reversed. (Dravid didnt agrue for ganguly in selection)
Throughout his tenure he went on supporting his players because that was his duty. His player went on performing for him because that was their duty. Who can forget the Mike Dennis case, in which Ganguly aggressively took the side of Sachin and asked the Steve Waugh" To Shutup your mouth".
How can one forget how he supported Harbhajan during chucking allegations. But what he got, none of the players supported him when he was banned for 4 ODI due to bad overrate in Kolkata ODI against Pakistan. Its really shocking no body visited his room hotel day before yesterday.
You should take retirement from cricket let it remain as a BLACK SPOT on Indian Cricket, how they treated you. Thats the way to treat our heroes and thats the reason we had/have only one Ganguly. Can any body thought that why British media and Australian media always criticized ganguly, the only factor was his attitude. Good Luck Sourav for your all future endeavours.

whatever Aviral said is true but u dont bring Dravid and Sachin in between..remember Dravid supported Ganguly when Chappel controversy arised.....u dont remember that.....why will Laxman go to Gangu's room when he put Laxman's place in jeopardy....same with Kaif....Dravid supported his captain and don the gloves in spite of the fact that he didnt like it.....he's a team man and he shudnt be blamed like that......seriously u r a piece of shit....the way u argue abt Ganguly issue shows ur incompetence to handle our questions....keeping emotions aside wat else do u have to say abt Ganguly....its a plain truth....Laxman is a better test player than Ganguly....Sachin, Dravid are equally good.....Sehwag is a good test opener....now Gangu cant keep n he's not a gud bowler....so he has to fight his place with Yuvraj.....I admit that politics is behind Ganguly's exit but now better look for the future.....I am Dravid's fan and I never screamed when he was not in the one day team.....I dont support a particular member but the whole team....u n those Bongs who say that "gud work Neeraj" r pathetic....have u ever visited their page....do they ever right abt Ganguly?? never.....

Gavaskar, Amarnath, Kapil, Sachin.... we can make an endless list of great players that India cricket had produced, but when we make a list of great captains India produced, the list starts and ends with one single name: Saurav Ganguly. Even with all great players no Indian captain was able to make Team India a team feared by the opposition, Ganguly made that happen. This was due to his fighting spirit, his attitude of not taking anything lying down, and somehow it seems that these same factors that sculpted this team led to his ouster.

saugata said...

PS Someone might point out that Kapil won the world cup, something that Ganguly couldn't. However, in terms of continued performance Ganguly's team was much ahead.
AND without taking anything away from our old greats, I would like to add that the victory of Kapil's devils was considered an upset, whereas the when Ganguly's team reached the WC finals, it was considered the best possible confrontation, between the best and the second best team in the world....

@saugata
You rightly said.
After the world cup 1983, India got humiliating defeats from the Same team West Indies in her home ground i.e. in india.
India lost all 5 ODI and they lost 3 out of 6 test matches rest of the three were drawn. Thats was the Kapil's team. While Ganguly's team went on virtually winning the Test series in Australia.

@Mukesh
Forget abt Sachin's captainship.
If you havnt read the media report of Australia in 1999-2000. They criticized and admired ganguly the every limit. you know abt that series. India lost all 3 test matches as well as a practice match against Queensland in the capatainship of Sachin. India played only one match in the capatinship of Ganguly against New South Wales and India won that match. That was the difference between their captainship and about performance, ganguly performed brilliantly in ODI series in Australia. Ganguly scored two ceturies, 100 against Australia and 141 against Pakistan, in total he scored more than 350 runs in 7 innings. India won only 1 ODI out of 8 and in that Ganguly scored 141. If Ganguly was the captain then the results would had become different.

saugata said...

@mukesh
india lost 20+ ODI finals
ok, India lost 20+ finals under Ganguly, but then India reached 20+ finals under Ganguly, any other Indian captain matches that?
brilliant performance of some player was major factor in making him great
did u read what i wrote earlier?? i said that India has produced several great performers but no captain (other than Ganguly) had been able to make sure that those individual great performances translated to a great and consistent team performance

@Neeraj

Go to my blog and post a comment....its pathetic that u r supporting Ganguly in this way....remember u onlyu said to me once that see the state of India in 1999 Australian series....Jacob Martin used to come at 1 down....if that was the team then neither Ganguly nor Sachin wud have one any match....u r a pathetic loser....abt Kapils's devils and Ganguly's team......let me show u facts....after World Cup 2003 India lost to Aussies in 6 ODIs out of 8 n they lost the home test series also....n remember Kapil devils were still a mediocre team than Ganguly's team India....n still Kapil's team went on to win Rothmans Cup....nyways I admit Ganguly is the best captain but Kapil used to lead from the front which sadly Ganguly didnt do recently.....thats frm me now.....agar himmat hai to jawab do....main har sawal ka jawab dunga......aur agar yaad na aaye to yeh tumhari budhauti ka asar hai.....

If i am pathetic then i am proud it to be the same. I dont co-operate and i dont collaberate in any of the way suggested by u guys.
If courage is concerned i dont need ur baraometer of courage. By saying kapil's team as a mediocre team u r no justifying the world cup 83 win by india. I will write what i think in my blog and i dont need any suggestions from Mr. Shobhit.
@anonymous
Mr. Anonymous great to see that your father didnt gave a name. I know that u are one of my batchmate. So please come up with a name, please ask ur mother she must given u some name, if she remembered u other wise i am sorry.

Hi this is Gavri. Seems this is the hottest place out here. Jadaun, Servo , seems this is what you people are doing to keep yourselves hot in this cooold winter. :).
I couldnt resist myself warming my hands also and giving my views.
No doubt Ganguly has a glorious PAST and was a wonderful captain. But off late he's been so much involved in curicular activities(In which he is so good at) that he has kind of forgotten his batting.
What I feel is his removal from the 3rd test was really wrong and inspired by dirty politics, but so was his inclusion in 2nd test.
Ganguly was a tremendous player in the past, but he needs to go back home and spend a lot of time in the nets and rediscover himself, and his shots.
Remember, his lofted six to the spinners was one of the best shots I have seen, but it has been ages since he has hitted them. He was a tremendous player to fast bowling, thats why he was a wonderful opener, but now he can barely play good fast bowling. His strength, off side drives are now his weakness. Bowlers easily set a trap for him on the slips or point and get him out. For how long his aggresive attitude will work, if he cannot show aggresiveness thru his batting.
He will come back in Indian team for sure because he still has his contacts and his ATTITUDE, but this is the time to get to the basics and relearn what he was good at in the past. I feel he was doing his homework well but he was called a bit early than he should have been.

@Neeraj

Kapil's Devils were really a mediocre team who scaled new peaks because of sheer commitment and desire to excel. It was their captain who lead by example by his batting, bowling and fielding. A team cannot perform when his captain is not performing. I also remember Ganguly taking Anwar's catch when he was on 194 in Chepauk and afridi's catch in a league match in Dhaka independence cup. Mr. Jadaun, you are not the only one who read about cricket and remember the score cards. When it comes to loving the game, I can surely say that I also have passion for the game and by boosting about Ganguly's records you show your concern about Ganguly and not Team India. I can write more records about my fav player. more than the Bengal Tiger.

Neeraj Jadaun said...

@Sarvagya
May be you can write more records than me. I have no doubt in it. But i care for indian team too but i dont like Greg chappel. You can ssay me being personal but thats not a problem.

Anonymous said...

Keep it cool guys, The current form should be the sole criteria for any player to get included in team, not the old records. Please let our team india become professional. there should not be any favouritism. I am admire only performers, not the record holders.

If Ganguly is in good farm no body can keep him out, but if he is not performing then there is no need to see the old records and keep him in team for ages.
